The Aloha Pilot Club’s inaugural fundraiser “ALOHA SHINES 2025” was held on May 2nd at the Oʻahu Country Club

Aloha Shines as Hawaiʻi Pilot Clubs Join Together for Fundraiser

All blinged out and ready to party! The Aloha Pilot Club held its inaugural fundraising event, Aloha Shines, on Friday, May 2nd, at the Oʻahu Country Club. Seventy-five guests enjoyed savory pupus, drinks, a beautiful Silent Auction, and a fabulous Wine Pull. The club also hosted two guests from two of the club’s projects (Lanakila Meals on Wheels and RYSE), who spoke briefly about their organizations and how they benefit from the club’s volunteering and fundraising efforts.

The Aloha Pilot Club took the lead in planning and organizing the event, and the other three Hawaiʻi Pilot clubs contributed to the success of the evening in their own ways. Pilot Club of Honolulu supported the Silent Auction by providing bid sheets, loaning acrylic frames for displaying bid items, donating items, and lending their expertise and experience in running a silent auction. Leeward Pilot Club donated 12 bottles of wine, and West Oʻahu Pilot Club ran the Wine Pull.

After struggling and then finally identifying the right venue, the Aloha Pilot Club was on a roll, soliciting Silent Auction items, selling tickets, enlisting support from the other Pilot clubs, and just getting the word out. With the theme Aloha Shines, guests were encouraged to bring their bling and get their glam on! Through the process of pulling together this event, club members created strong bonds of friendship and cooperation. And in the end, the event was an unmitigated success, and the funds raised will continue to support the mission of Pilot to provide selfless service in the community.
